Mistakes To Avoid During UPSC CSE Preparation

Preparing for UPSC is a journey I mean a beautiful journey. You need to be focused and dedicated to reaching your destination, there would be stops in between make sure that's not wasted.

Here is my Journey

I started my preparation in May 2017

Appeared for Prelims 2018.

Result: Fail

My Mistakes :

  1. Over Confidence, Yes Overconfidence thought I can clear this exam easily in one go.
  2. I skipped reading the newspaper, though read for one and half month and felt boring so stopped it and solely depended on Visions Monthly booklet.

Skipping Newspaper is my biggest Blunder as no Monthly magazine can replace it. (Realised Later).

Now I'm in my second phase of Preparation I am reading Newspaper religiously without skipping a single day,

And make Crisp notes : (Sorry For The poor Image quality)

3. Too much time spent on NCERTS i took 4 months to finish and, now in 2month i finished 2 readings.

4. Did even care about PIB, RSTV debates, and All India Radio later sensed it's more important now I make notes from all the above too.

5. Time Management - Make a plan, make a timetable, and accomplish it within the deadline this is very important never waste a Single Hour.

This is for my UPSC 2021

I Learnt from my own mistakes and now Preparing Very Sincerely without “Wasting Time”

Thank You!!

Jai Hind!!
